Welcome to VOLT!
Since electricity became commercially available, the volt has served as the unit of measure of a key piece of the process: Electric Potential. It tells us how much "potential" energy exists within a source, and then, depending on its size, we can use that source to power anything from our phones to our cars.
Just like that unit of measure, VOLT, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's energy and power student organization, is about potential. But instead of focusing on electric potential, VOLT focuses on helping its members both develop their potential AND find ways to unleash that potential to make a positive, lasting impact on the world around us.
